Gys likes to move into complex business situations and serve as a catalyst for change.  He does so by collaborating with leaders to explore, discover and implement plans that can unleash people’s potential and make businesses perform.  He has utilised rapid innovation cycles, design thinking and agile methods to get results.

During his corporate career, he has worked in various HR leadership roles covering both generalist (business) and specialist (centre of excellence) work, while he has lead individuals and teams, ranging from organisation development, learning, HR and recruitment, to general services and public relations.  Gys has worked with leaders and teams in multiple regions and countries in support of various business functions and business models, including joint ventures, country offices, a business incubator, corporate functions, operations, sales and projects.

He has been responsible for a wide spectrum of people initiatives, including the establishment of talent management practices, employer branding, strategic workforce planning and shaping people strategies for business growth.  Gys enjoys integrating the complexities of business and psychology to arrive at simplicity, to achieve the most impactful employee and customer experience.

Gys is concerned about sustainability and evolving society in pursuit of more love and compassion amongst people.  He sees himself as a student of life, from living amongst people from different cultures, to everyday interactions with his wife (with opposite personality type) and son (who has Cerebral Palsy).
