1. By making a booking, the person responsible for the booking and/or payment and the attendee agree that they have read, understood and will abide by these T&Cs.
 2. Bookings for public events and programs should be done through the online events booking and payment channel on the this website for a specific event on a specific date(s), with the exception of organisations requiring a manual booking and procurement process.
 3. A booking is only confirmed and secured after payment has been made and processed.
 4. The person making the booking (which could either be the attendee or the person responsible for payment) will be required to complete a Booking Form (with the details of the person responsible for making payment as well as all the attendees) and proceed to making a card of EFT payment through PayFast (a recognised secure third party payment portal) to our verified PayFast account. For manual corporate bookings, payment shall be made on invoice via EFT.
 5. Accurate information is required on the Booking Form as it will be used for various purposes, e.g. accounting, invoicing, statistical, certificates, attendee lists, certification training attendance history, or important communication regarding the event.
 6. By completing the Booking Form or attending an event, the attendee agrees to receive newsletters and marketing information about services, events, news and other relevant insights and information. The information of the attendee will not be provided to a third party, and the attendee can unsubscribe at any time.
 7. Group sizes are limited for certain events, and bookings will not be possible if the maximum capacity for these events have been reached.
 8. Early Bird discount rates, if applicable, will automatically lapse after the Early Bird deadline.
 9. Online registration normally closes (unless otherwise stated on the event details):

  • Events shorter than a full day: 24 hours before the start of the event.
  • Full day events: 48 hours before the start of the event.
  • Full day workshops requiring pre-work: 72 hours before the start of the event.
  • 2 – 4 days certification training requiring pre-work: 1 – 2 weeks before the start of the event.
10. Refunds will not be made, unless we cancel an event.
11. Replacement attendees (substitutions) can be considered subject to the following:

  • UNLOCKIT™ and Showcases: substitutions welcome at any time.
  • Training, workshops and events for which no pre-work is required: at least 24 hours’ notice via email is required before the start of the event.
  • Workshops and certification training programs of a full day or more where preparation and/or prerequisites applies : substitutions will only be considered if we receive notice via email 2 weeks before the start of the event and the replacement delegate has sufficient time to prepare and carry out applicable pre-program work, and the substitute are in a position to fulfil the requirements and meet the prerequisites for the specific event or program.
12. Rescheduling and substitute/replacements are at the absolute sole discretion of, and subject to written acknowledgement and confirmation from HCBsolutions.
13. Discount / coupon codes may only be used for or by the intended organisation, entity, group or person as provided by HCBsolutions or its authorised partners. Should a discount / coupon code be used and the code is not applicable to the entity or attendee(s) who used it, the attendee(s) will not be eligible for the discounted rate and the person responsible for the booking remains liable for payment of the standard rate before a discount was applied.
14. Package Deals for simultaneous booking for attending 2 (two) certification programs is not transferrable to other dates or a replacement (substitute) attendee.
15. Discounts and package deals, where offered, are calculated on the Standard Rate for an event.
16. Special Meals (Halal and Kosher) will incur an additional surcharge by the events venue, and is payable to the venue (unless otherwise communicated) before delivery.
17. Programme and event details are provided in good faith. HCBsolutions reserves the right however to change programme content, facilitators or presenters or to cancel an event or programme. Registered participants will be notified accordingly, should this occur. The full fee paid by the paying person or entity will be refunded if the event or program is cancelled by HCBsolutions.
18. The attendees(s) are required to present their booking confirmation electronically or in paper copy during registration at the start of the event.
19. Registration for People Acuity™ Strengths Strategies workshops and certification training (excluding the UNLOCKIT™ event or showcases) requires prior completion of the CliftonStrengths® assessment, generating a People Acuity™ Accelerator Report and Self-Coaching Guide or certification program preparation. Prerequisites for the specific program will be provided in the event information and/or instructions emailed to the attendee. You agree to provide HCBsolutions with your Strengths results in advance for the purposes of a specific workshop where it is asked for.
20. Should an attendee require a new or replacement certificate this could be requested in writing. Courier charges would be for the account of the attendee.
21. Copyright and intellectual property rights of all presentations, slides, workbooks, participant handouts and materials (“Protected Material”) and trademark rights belong to its respective owners and all rights are reserved. Reproduction, distribution, modification, publishing, or reverse engineering of Protected Material or inappropriate or unauthorised use of all trademarks or registered trademarks is strictly prohibited and any infringement of intellectual property rights will result in legal action. Attendance of an event or workshop does not grant any person or company any rights or licenses to use the Protected Material, trademarks or registered trademarks, unless under a written license agreement with the legal owner of the Protected Material or adhering to international trademark laws. Respective owners of intellectual property used during events specifically includes:

  • People Acuity™, Strengths Strategy®, as well as the Strengths Strategies presented in the training belong to People Acuity, Inc., People Acuity, LLC., or Strengths Strategy, Inc. and are used, printed, presented or facilitated by HCBsolutions™ under license or agreement by People Acuity, LLC. and Strengths Strategy, Inc.
  • Human Capital Business Solutions® and HCBsolutions™ Protected Material are the intellectual property or used under license by  Human Capital Business Solutions (Pty) Ltd.
  • CliftonStrengths® is a product and trademark of Gallup®, Inc. Gallups T&Cs apply: Human Capital Business Solutions (Pty) Ltd, People Acuity, LLC and Strengths Strategy, Inc. are not authorised representatives of Gallup or affiliated with Gallup, and are subject to Gallup’s Professional Conduct Rules. Non-Gallup information (i.e. any material and information other than the CliftonStrengths assessment results obtained from the Gallup Strenghts Center) has not been approved and is not sanctioned or endorsed by Gallup in any way. Human Capital Business Solutions (Pty) Ltd, nor any of its directors, strategic partners, consultants, shareholders, managers or employees, or its third party providers will be liable for any other loss or damages whatsoever relating to the booking and payment of, attendance or non-attendance of events.
25. No indulgence granted by any party to any other party shall constitute a waiver of any of that party’s rights under these T&Cs.
