Human Capital Business Solutions (Pty) Ltd was registered in 2001 by Liezel Pheiffer Blignaut. In 2021, the company started trading as HCBsolutions, our website domain since 2002.
HCBsolutions was founded at the intersection of business and people, after Liezel’s experience in listed companies establishing and renewing HR, organisational development and people-related functions and initiatives.
Over more than two decades, our work has evolved across strategy, organisational development, stakeholder insights, leadership, teams, talent and culture development. Our solutions have also evolved to include proprietary insight surveys and development solutions designed to support development, improvement and growth.
Since 2016, our team has grown to include consultants, facilitators and coaches who share a commitment to making a difference and creating impact. We stay connected to trends, thought leadership and practical experience across industries, countries and organisational contexts.
Our original belief that “People are the Sustainable Differentiator” remains central to who we are, and our slogan continues to guide our work: Think Different. Be Different. Make a Difference™
MEET OUR FOUNDER & CEO
Liezel Pheiffer Blignaut founded HCBsolutions after a corporate career focused on HR, organisational development, strategy, change and people-related initiatives. Her experience across industries, countries, functions and organisational contexts enables her to understand complex business and workplace challenges and guide the design of practical, insight-led solutions. She remains focused on helping organisations, leaders, teams and talent think differently, develop meaningfully and make progress that matters.
We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them. We cannot solve new problems with old thinking.

Since 2018, we have been a partner of Thrivin (formerly People Acuity), a global talent and leadership development company, delivering their programmes and content.
Their practical, scalable solutions create meaningful insights and provide pathways to changes and noticeable improvements.
Through our partnership and certified coaches, facilitators and guides, we provide development pathways that help individuals, teams and leaders grow, perform and thrive.
Since 2015, we use Qualtrics, a leading experience management platform, to administer, analyse and report on stakeholder listening, feedback and impact measurement initiatives.
It provides an engaging participant experience, robust analytics and flexible reporting capabilities.
We also use Qualtrics to measure the value and impact of our development solutions.
DEVELOPING & INVESTING IN FUTURE TALENT
HCBsolutions is committed to developing and investing in future workplace entrants, leaders and entrepreneurs.
We support selected youth development institutions with our expertise and solutions, strengthening the people and environments that equip future contributors.
We also have, since 2020, sponsored the award for the top BCom Honours student in Organisational Psychology at the University of Pretoria, including career and personal development coaching for the recipient.
